Rachel began working full-time at Braddock Street UMC in 2019 as the Finance/Budget Administrator. She currently also is the Communications Administrator.
She met her husband, Rick, at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where they both earned an Associates Degree in Photography/Multimedia. They owned a photography and photo lab business, which is where Rachel learned her knack for bookkeeping and accounting. She worked at Grace Community Church for thirteen years, starting as a part-time bookkeeper, working her way up to a full-time position as an Office Manager.
She is a founding member and current treasurer of The Gathering Church. She is originally from Buffalo, New York. Even though she has lived in Virginia for over 35 years, she still misses those Buffalo winters. They have 3 children, a crazy dog, and 2 cranky cats. Her hobbies include doing puzzles, gardening, fishing, hiking and spending time in nature. Her favorite color is purple, thus the purple hair!
