BSUMC’s membership secretary and administrative assistant, Deya Hamilton, hails from the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California.


Deya brings a wealth of experience and a spirit of service to her role. Her previous work with the Federal Government showcased her expertise in transcription, translation, and secretarial duties. With a background as a legal secretary, Deya has also served as an administrative assistant for two other Methodist churches.

In addition to her professional achievements, Deya balanced the demands of homeschooling four sons while juggling two jobs. Deya is the proud mother of four grown sons, two grandchildren, and a feline companion (despite the occasional disagreement).


She is actively engaged in community service and has volunteered with ASP Missions, Winchester Area Temporary Thermal Shelter, and Habitat for Humanity. Deya is also an earnest prayer warrior, dedicating her prayers to the noble cause of stopping human trafficking.
